Plant Metabolic Engineering (PME) services include:
  • Gene Cloning
  • Vector Construction
  • Plant Transformation
  • cDNA and gDNA Library Construction and Screening
  • Protocol Development for Micro-Propagation
  • Large Scale Production of Industrial Compounds and High-value Metabolites through plant cell and hairy root cultures
  • Increasing Secondary Metabolite yield by cloning genes of interest
  • PME is committed to creating value through high quality research and developing new products of commercial value in each of its research programs.
Under the Biofuels program, Reliance Life Sciences is developing transgenic and random mutants of Jatropha yielding higher-than-normal quantity of oil and large-scale production of Jatropha plants through micro-propagation. Under its Nutraceuticals program, Reliance Life Sciences is developing processes for large-scale biomass production using bioreactors.
